I’m Amanda, and this photography business is my baby. I started to fall in love with photography as an art form over twenty years ago in the high school photography dark room. I photographed my first senior session in 2003, and my first wedding in 2005. This remained a hobby and something I did for friends over the years, but I decided to make it official and open for business in 2018. Since then, I have photographed over 60 weddings and many seniors and families and my love for photography has only continued to grow. In 2024, I rebranded from Heather & Holly Photography to Amanda & Camera and I’m so excited for what the future holds.
My approach to photography is to listen, collaborate, and get to know your vision so I can make pictures that feel authentically you. I love getting to know my clients and the best compliments I receive are your repeat business and referrals to friends.
I live in Lawrence, Kansas with my husband Ryan and two boys, Hen and Owen. I work all around Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska, and am also available to travel with you for your elopement or destination wedding.
Ryan - Associate Photographer
Ryan is the second shooter for engagements and weddings and he’s also my husband! We love photographing couples together and it brings us back to our own wedding day.
When you choose to have a second photographer, it will always be Ryan, not a random contractor, so you’ll know you always have a team that has experience working together.
Ryan is a carpenter, skateboarder, and skate photographer who founded his own local skate zine in Lawrence. He has a very creative eye and his photography style is a great compliment to the team.
